2004 Explorer?

Hello Everyone, I have a 2000 windstar 3.8 and have been looking at a 2004 Explorer for possible trade. My question to you guys is if its worth getting the explorer? I've read some threads pertaining to this vehicle as having problems with the transmission (not to say the windstar doesnt) as well as other posts of problems. Any advice is greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Re: 2004 Explorer?

2002-2004 Ford Explorer is not a good choice...............

Transmission problems
Rear Axle problems
Axle seal leaks
Wheel bearing issues
Heater box issues

Worst Explorer ever!

Re: 2004 Explorer?

Thanks Johnny for the input, I think I'll probably stick with the windstar headaches instead of jumping to another Ford problem.
