no power

just replaced alternator, battery is charged and now when i turn the key nothing happens..any ideas?

check your battery cables, make sure they have no worn areas and check if you have a good connection to the battery and ground. if thats good and you still don't get anything when you turn the key, your igntion switch may have decided to quit. what year truck are we talking about hear and how many miles?

its a 98 slt 4X4, i figured it out...it seemed i was chasing a ghost in the electrical..finding what i thought were shorts and what not, but eventualy figured out the battery cable was corroded, cleaned it up and seems fine. didn't really explain taking the ohm meater to the batt cable (positive side) and getting a connection between that and the frame, but who knows i prolly was touching something i shouldn't have been...4 hrs wasted..boo
