Interior glow suggestions on a 07 mazda6 sedan.

Im not very educated in designing or into appearance of cars, but i am not allowed to touch my engine for a good time amount and doing nothing to the car is gonna kill me.

(Question)
I was thinking of putting interior glow on my car but i dont want to over due it but have it look nice at the same time. Supposedly in my state you cant have the actual bulbs of the lights sticking out or anything so i was PLANNING to put some under the dash so it will shine on both passanger and driver side floor mats, then place some under the back seats to do the same effect. other than that for the inside i wouldnt know where to put it.
-any suggestions on where it would be nice to put interior glow on this car??
