I purchased a beautiful 1995 Grand Am for my daughter for her 18th birthday. We drove it once before we realized there was a gasket leak, that allowed water into the oil, and $300 later, that's fixed. However, now we have no lights. I take that back...we have headlights and 1/2 of the middle break light, but that's it. One would think it's a fuse...but we've checked them and none are blown. I would love to find out what you think I could be missing. As it stands right now, this car is undrivable...no break lights, no blinkers...and my daughter takes her driver's test in 3 weeks.
Anyway, please let me know your thoughts. I can deal with the windows not working and even with the issues with the gasket leak, but I can't deal with this light issue. We can't figure out what's going on and I'm at whit's end. And if I hear "electrical" I'm gonna scream! LOL! Thanks, Michelle |

Re: 1995 Grand Am - one issue after another - help please!
Welcome to AF.
Pull the tail lamp housings off and see if the sockets are rusty or if thiers water in the housings. These Do like to leak.

Okay, now we just checked and the back hazards blink...but the front don't. Isn't that weird? And when we turn the turn signals on...it doesn't even make a noise or show signs that it's "blinking" inside the car...and well, obviously it's doing nothing outside the car...
Hmmm... |
