Uhhh...you do know this is an Eclipse/Talon/Laser forum right? I doubt there are many, if anyone around here that can give you information like that. A better place for that would be an older Chevy forum that's frequented daily. Welcome to AF though.

Re: need some info about a 350 block and 305 heads
i dont believe it will hurt to put 305 heads on however your compression ratio will increse witch means your want to caculate your new comp ratio for gas octane level.. as for pistons, you dont need to change then because they are not apart of the head... rather a part of the block and most likley you dont have dome pistons in a stock engine.... i would take it to a machinest and ask him for his advice and not take fourms help.. machinests advice is free so dont be woried to ask. ( if your not gunna go visit one then make sure the diameter of the head is the same size as the piston.

Ditto to the Eclipse, Talon, Laser forum man..However, The 305 and 350 are essentially the same motor. Ones just a little better than the other. Anything from a 305 is just boat anchor parts. Heavy and underpowered. When you say H.O. heads are you referring to the TPI heads from a Camaro/Trans Am/Firebird ? If so, just go get a set of proper 350 heads because if so , those H.O. heads are crap.

Re: need some info about a 350 block and 305 heads
Ya im with him anything off a 305 is basically crap my buddy had one it was a piece. If ur looking to make more power go with aftermarket heads if not and ur just looking to put an engine together those will work fine

I'm still trying to figure out what this is doing in the eclipse talon laser section... I'm not even sure where the heck I should move it to...

I really wouldn't take any advise from someone who believes it will or will not work. I should ask if they will work in my eclipse. There are also 3 misspelled words within just the first sentence. I understand its the thought that counts, but if it is a hypothetical question about possible engine damage...common...yes it will or no it won't.
