98 escort ac does not work

I check the ac compressor and does not have any current .
I checked ccrm and test on pin 21, 12 volt, but pin22 & pin 23 no voltage.
Does anybody have any idea if the ccrm is out?
or there is another relay ,causing this problem?

Re: 98 escort ac does not work

The low pressure cycling switch is on the passenger side on the firewall. It is a bottle with 2 wires going into a switch at the top. You can check your AC not working for low freon by shorting the two wires together while you have the AC on. If the compressor clutch kicks on (make sure you have the AC switch on at the dash) the system is low on freon and this is the reason it is not working.

OR... the switch could be bad. Test your system pressure before buying any parts. If the pressure is low then consider having the system serviced and checked for leaks. Best to get those leaks fixed before pumping a bunch of refrigerant back in there.
