oil in the coolant
'95 Escort/1.9/5spd is getting OIL in the coolant overflow tank but NO coolant in the oil. My first guess is a bad head gasket. Any other place it could be coming from? I REALLY don't want to pull the head.

Not sure, but the intake gasket might cause it ... the coolant would have to pass by the rings once allowed in the combustion stream. Possible, but perhaps unlikely;
Are you having any performance symptoms? If not, the intake gasket becomes more likely. |

12ounce, thanks for the reply, but the problem is oil getting in the coolant NOT coolant in the oil.

Thats fords way of keeping its coolent well lubricated.. dont worrie its fine... lol jk its most likely a head gasket come on its an escort its easy.. just beglad its not a v8 triton....i love fords and i love my zx2 but **** the triton motors.
