Re: Installing a Tach on my Stealth
i dunno why, i just like the aftermarket tachs and plus i put a grant steering wheel on my 3S and it gets in the way of the Tach and Speedo and i put my after market one on the pannel by the window and i can see it better than the stock. and i like the way they look lol.

Re: Installing a Tach on my Stealth
you could probably change all your thread names so far to "how to geto/rice out my stealth"... and have them all under that one topic.. I have a few stickers you can have if you want? one that says NOZ.. its the knock off of NOS but when you fly by.. people think it says NOS

Re: Installing a Tach on my Stealth
I personally don't like aftermarket tach's, but thats just my opinion.
However, if you want to put it on your car, there are two ways to do it. You can either splice your rpm wire into your power transistor unit located by the coil pack near the front center of your engine bay (where all the spark plug wires go to). The ignition PTU has some writing on it by the pinouts, you'll want to splice where it says "tacho". See http://www.stealth316.com/2-pwrtransunit.htm for all the information you'll want to know about the PTU. The second way to do it is if you don't want to run a wire through your firewall, to tap in by your ECU. Now you have a 95, which could either contain a fed-spec ECU or a cali-spec ECU. The fed spec has 3 harness connectors and the cali-spec has 4. Here is how to access the ECU http://www.stealth316.com/2-ecmremoval.htm. If you have a fed-spec, you will want to tap into the wire coming out of pin 101. If you have a cali-spec you will want tap into pin 58. See here http://www.stealth316.com/2-ecu94.htm for locating your pin numbers.

Re: Installing a Tach on my Stealth
"Gay ass mustangs" do it because they actually make some real power and use the shift light that is attached to the tach. Their tach also doesn't go up as high as ours does. So if they do a motor swap for something that revs higher their stock tach is useless. That or they are rice, or corn, as well.
Ricer: Someone that adds things to their car to make them look fast, without ever making the car any faster. For example, 3000GT-R You are a ricer

Re: Installing a Tach on my Stealth
I take it "corn" is american cars that look fast??? and i plan on adding things to my car to make it fast, im just gettin the small shit out of the way first, plus my engine is burning oil anyways, im saving up for a twin turbo engine, but im just a little low on money to go out n drop a new engine in my car right now, but i WILL be adding things and doing things to it to make it faster though.
