Just bought a 1999 Cherokee
I just bought my first Cherokee with 51,000 miles on it.
The only thing that seems a little off is the transmission, which makes a sliught lurch when shifting to drive and has a very slight slip when going from a dead stop. I plan on changing the transmission fluid and flushing as it is a little darker that I'd like. Am just I worrying about nothing with this since it is part of having a Jeep? (first SUV; I had a mustang prior). Thanks |

Re: Just bought a 1999 Cherokee
The symptoms you noted can be caused by low fluid also. Once you've dropped the pan and changed filter and fluid, it should improve. If not, post back and we'll have a go at it.
Also, Welcome to AF!

Re: Just bought a 1999 Cherokee
Did you purchase it from a car dealer? that would be covered under a mandatory warranty (considering the mileage) and if its within 30 days. Call them before you work on it.

Dealer or no dealer...you own this Jeep.
Flush the transmission. Previous postings are on this forum... |
