i need sooo much help!
i was racing at my friends track with my rs, i shifted from 4th gear at about 103 and my fifth gear hit 105 but would not go any faster, it was only at anout 3 04 grand rpms, and i have no idea why it wouldent go any faster, any ideas

Not enough power. What kind of track were you at. If it was a drag strip you shouldn't have made it out of 3rd. When my gs was NA I could hit about 115-120 pretty easy but that was in 4th gear. When I shifted to 5th it didn't have enough power to go faster. I did hit 135 once but it did take a while to get there.

no my friend lives in the country and he uses a abandoned road as a track its about 5 miles long, and i have a rs with ice man cai, new exaust system, and i hit about 103, we were even going down hill, it just wouldnt speed up, not much down hill but it was still a sloped grade

i never removed it but it topped about 105, its manual, and it still has about 4000 rpms b4 it redkines, if its goverend how can i remove it

This thread is the suck.
1. Your racing an RS. 2. Why are you trying to go above 100 mph on a country road in the first place. 3. Your racing an RS. 4. The governor did not kick in. The only governor the N/A has is the lack of power. 5. Your racing an RS. 6. You did not define any specific problem, just a general "why won't it go faster" is not a problem. 7. Stop racing your RS.

The governors in the n/t doesn't hit until about 130. I hit it in my auto RS once, but it took forrrrrrrrever to get there. I don't know what you're problem is though, your car should easily go faster than that.

I dont think the NA models had governors on them. Maybe the autos do? I know my car has never hit any kinda of speed limiter

I thought all n/t's had governors. Whats the fastest you've got that thing up to silvr? My auto governed at ~130.

135, that was when it was still NT. It took a while and it was a little downhill but it never cut back.

When I had my RS I topped it out at about 120 in 5th but it took FOOOORRREEEVVERRR to get there....how much time are you really giving it to speed up...cause it almost feels like its not accelerating anymore because it takes so long....at least that is how it felt to me...
I would also discourage racing in that car like that on a road like that....but it is your choice man....if its that enjoying go for it....but be careful that is not the best handling car....
