98 exp elec.motor or bad bearing sound

Hi I'm bill and I have 98 6 cyl. 4wd w/ 252k miles While driveing I get his sound from the engine compartment like a motor or something has a bad bearing when I take my foot off the gas When I push the gas again it stops Or when I com to a complete stop it stops Has anyone had this problem ??

In my experience, when bearings begin to fail, it is perfectly normal for them to only make their whine/howl at a certain rpm range. It is MORE common for the problem to occur at low rpm and stop at high rpm, but it happens in reverse at times as well.

I would imagine you're right -- you simply have a bearing that is beginning to go out. Replace it before it siezes.

could be from the front dif

First thing you need to do is isolate it.
