1985 Max Speedometer is Erratic or Not Working!!
Well...had so many issues with my 85...I parked it for the winter.
So time to start the repairs.... 1st the digital speedometer...sometimes is works.....and sometimes NOT..lately more time NOT. I Have two repair manual.s..and nothing about the Digital Dash...except if bad replace it !!!! Does this vehicle have a speed sensor in the wheel ??? Any help will be greatly appreciated !!!! HJ

Digital speedo does have a sender, typical location is on tranny - tracking magnet imbedded in flywheel.
Sounds like a bad connection or cut in speedo assy pcb foils. Clean all, rewire, resolder all components... check http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748507/14

Hey...thanks....my Gas gauge also works intermittently...so yes...there may be a bad foil connection. I have another 85 Max is use for part....so I just may swap out the dash panel....
