Look at what I stumbled on, I may have the only completely new kit in the world!!

I got this Rosso NSX at a hobby shop located near Los Angeles. Paid 250 US, but I've seen for more on the net. It's totally complete and sealed when I got it. It has been long discontinued and sought after by many NSX lovers and modelers. I know what I'm gonna do with this already. Oh, it's 1/12 scale so its BIG!!!

Also got these on the day of the contest. Its an old Supra/ Celica from MPC and Mazda Cosmo (RX-5) from Entex, but made by Bandai. I think I've seen a few posts about the Cosmo. Does any one know about this car? Both these kits were partially built. The Supra is 100% complete, but the Cosmo is missing a few exterior trim items. I guess I can scratchbuild some things if I ever get to it.

That kit is probably worth allot more. It is a shame that Rosso wen't under they made some nice stuff. I have the 1/43rd scale Ferrari 641 F1 car they did. It is the grade up version with metal and photo etch parts. They did a really nice Gr. A Calsonic Nissan Skyline in 1/43rd with engine and opening hood and doors. Didn't they do 1/12 scale Gr. A Skylines?

I've seen the NSX built up at a show, had no idea who made it at the time. I posted some pics of the Cosmo recently

I have one of those Rosso NSX's in my model stock, collecting dust... I've got it back then for my birthday - was kinda Honda fan before I switched to Mercedes ( has Mclaren something to do with my switch??? ).

Sooo, Am I ever going to build this beauty? Probably not, I've opened it a couple of times, looked at it, studied it, but never got to the building stage. You can make either left hand drive or right hand drive too! Oh and it's complete and in mint comdition.

Yep, Rosso is one company that should have lasted much longer than it did.
The 1/12 NSX's (there are a few: Acura NSX, Honda NSX european,
Honda NSX asian and a Pace Car) are the nicest 1/12 kits I've seen sofar.

In fact Rosso did quite a few 1/43 R32 Skylines (Axia, Calsonic, Castrol, street) in various
ways (full kit, prepainted kit, completed).

They also did the NSX's in 1/43 scale.

It wasn't Rosso but Fujimi who did the 1/12 Skylines.

I don't know if I want to sell it just yet Mr. Thug. I have some ideas on it, but don't know when I want to get to it. Besides, I had to break things apart to reassemble things properly as they were poorly built by someone. Nothing lines up even with the guide pins. This wasn't a hobby shop that I got it from. It was an old collector that found old kit collections and resold them. No one at the show cared for what it was so know one picked it up. He had afew others, but they were to incomplete.

That kit is simply A.W.E.S.O.M.E.!!!

Legends Hobbies in Puente Hills has one built up in their case that I drool over every time I go. Theirs has an extra engine on a display stand next to the car. Does the kit come with two engines?

What shop did you find it at?

I found it exactly where you said it would be. I've asked about that thing for several years and they just said, "no more"." Rosso is out of business and we've sent everything through mail order years ago". I got lucky yesterday when I was just looking for Warplane decals. I walked in and had to look at it several times to make sure my eyes weren't decieving me. I picked it up and the sticker said 249.98. I had to have it!!! So sorry Jay. There really isn't anymore from them. I asked and they said it was buried in their warehouse. I had the store call the owner and he said it truly is the last one known in retail stores.

This one is the US/ European version with the left hand dash included and the Acura badges. The kit only comes with 1 engine. I thought it was two so I had the casheir open the box to make sure. Only 1! The extra engine they had in the display looked great next to the finished model. Imagine the possibilities of detailing that thing! Even the wheels studs are accurate, down to the lugnuts and the crosswrench.

I'm also considering making the NSX-t or some other version out of this one. Gotta do some scratchbuilding and casting probably.

Think you should do something like that. If it were me, you know i wouldn't leave it stock! I certainly don't think you should sell it anyway, you have the opportunity to build an amazing model and become the envy of the forum - i'd be jealous anyway!

Bastardo? Sorry jay, this Bastardo couldn't afford it either. The little plastic card in my wallet is very very bad because it was asking to be swiped. Now I'm negative 270 dollars in credit.

I looked for the NSX for many years Mr. Murco. The MPC celica is really a decent kit compared to today's Revells. The plastic formula is a little soft, but details are excellent for a 20 year old kit. The tires a crappy though.
