Won't Start!

Please help me fall in love again with my 02 Rendezvous.
Last night i was driving for an hour and barely made it home. It seemed as if it was going to shut off at any minute. Right when i pulled up it did. I tried turning it on again but couldn't go throught with it. It seemed as if i didn't have any gas, which of course i did regardless of my faulty gauge telling me it's empty.lol So kept trying and almost had it at one point. I decided to leave it alone. After i came back an hour later it worked. As if nothing was wrong to begin with.
I put in 95000 and did have a tune up 6 months ago. Please help.

Re: Won't Start!

I saw a bulletin on something like this.

Hard start-- no start--stall-- and/or fuel gage is inoperative or fluctuates.

Check connector C305, on the floor, under driver seat, toward the rear. Check the connector for corrosion, problem is caused by water leak, the problem may cause one or all the above symptoms, fix the water leak first. Also check the terminals, that they connect ok.

If that isn't it, you can do some basic, " cranks good but won't start tests,".

It may not show anything, but, I usually check for codes first. Some of the national brand auto stores will read OBD11 codes free of charge, if you can get the thing running.

Re: Won't Start!

I also forgot to mention, this usually does happen after a day of a carwash or rain so youre probably right. How do i exposee the connector. Do i have to remove the seat or is it under the car itself.
Thanks again and if anyone else gives out any suggesstions please do not hesitate to reply. I really don't feel like gettting robbed at the dealer. I know theyll tell me ohh is this oohh its that, you know what i mean.
I have a newborn and everyday without a car is a nightmare. He will only fall a sleep while driving. Lucky dad that i am.

Angry Re: Won't Start!

i understand the problem with the fuel gauge mine is broken too. i think they just come broken. there are a lot of problems with this car. i called buick to let them know about the problems i was having and that i wasnt the only one. they want me to go to a dealership and pay overly high prices to get it looked at. if we really want these problems fixed i would hope that others would contact buick also. we shouldnt have to pay for the crappy work of buick!
