Drivers window stuck?

Has anyone had problems with their power windows? All of a sudden, my drivers window will go down 3/4 of the way and stop. And i have to pull up on it physically and hit the up button to get it back up again...I tore the door planel off and it looks fine. Nothing loose or out of place, just sticks and not on wires, etc. Any suggestions?

Mine's been going goofy for some time now. I just hold the button down and slam the door at the same time, and it starts working right again. Someday I'll have to see what's happening.

Probably after it gets stuck down in a rainstorm, would be my guess

Switch is my guess. They are reasonably priced, so why no go ahead. Isn't there some way to test them?

Re: Drivers window stuck?

It sems mechanicale. If it was the switch, it should be all, or nothing. But you can tell the switch is working, and the window just stops. If you pull up on the window a bit, and hold the switch, it continues to go up.....

Re: Drivers window stuck?

Usually a dirty or dry guide when they do that...or a tired lift motor..

but usually some cleaning and some lithium grease on the friction parts will wake them up again...
