Angry Piston Rings

I plan on buying my 1st car

the car is a 98 mustang

its got about 100,000 miles on it

its a 6 cylinder 3.81 liter engine

the person selling it says the piston rings are worn and need to be replaced

the car runs he says but it burns up about a quart of oil a week wit "normal use"

my question is how much it would cost to take it in to get the rings replaced and such?

thanx for the help

Re: Piston Rings

It would depend on who does the work. Call a garage and ask the question, or do you plan on doing it?
