Good & Bad thing about 2002-2003 Maxima
Hey guys I was thinking about trading my Civic in on a new Max. Its either that or an Accord, I don't really want to buy that because I've already had a few experiences with a first year car. Anyway I just wanted any opinions or personal experiences with this car and any good reasons to buy or not to buy, even if compared to the 2003 Accord. Thanks

The engine is very smooth and quite powerful, but the 6 sp is quite notchy and not especially easy to shift all the time. Sometimes I wish i had gone with Auto, but then I see Mustang GT's on the street and remember why I got the stick. Also, the seats are a little too soft. On the good side, the heated steering wheel is sweet, the interior is near perfect in ergonomics and quality, the sound system bumps, and the car absolutely rips in first and second gear. Overall, I think the Max is a good buy, although Nissan needs to start developing better Tranny's. But creature comfort is high, as is content, and the Max looks wicked. I would recommend it highly, especially over an ugly accord.(Can't get 6 sp with V6 sedan.)

I used to have a 1997 Honda Civic coupe. then I got a 1997 Maxima, Now I got a 2003 Maxima (which I picked up on Monday) I actually test drove the EX V6 Accord, and the difference os huge. I used to love honda when I had my civic, now I laugh at them. Handling, the Max wins. power, the max wins. style, the max wins. the ONLY way I would go with the accord, is if they had any EX-V6 Coupes left over from 2002 with black and black leather. but that is the ONLY exception I would make.

i would go with the maxima. but those 2003 accords are definitely fast. And i'm pretty sure you can get them in manual. either way you'll get a good car. i would go with an acura 3.2 cl type S over the accord, but i'd still take the maxima over both.

ill take the maxima
if i had a Maxima, ill remove the original alloys and ill put FAB design alloys... it will be so sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet ive already seen it here and the Maxima is even more amazing with FAB design alloys (Fab design alloys that look a little bit like the alloys on the diablo)
