Fixed my stalling problem 97 Buick Lesabre

MY 97 Lesabre was stalling while driving, it started to happen a few months ago. After the first time it started right back up no worries. Then a few weeks ago she stalled on me, then it started right back up. Then when I got it home she would not restart. I let it sit overnight, then she started up the next morning.
It ran fine for about 10 days, then the bottom fell out and she failed to kick over. At first I thought it was the fuel pump, but I had replaced the fuel pump in November. I opened the gas cap and had a friend listen to see if he could hear the fuel pump working. He said he heard it so I ruled that out.
Checked the wires to the spark plugs..ok. Checked the wire to the battery and cleaned everything off, reconnected ....crank but no turn over. So now i was thinking she is getting no spark. Towed it to my shop told them what i did and they said the coil or the crack sensor might be it. The shop called me back said he was leaning toward the coil because the crack sensor was still good. I went to the junk yard to save some money and lucked up and found the exact same car that had 80,000 on the engine. Had the guys at the yard take it out for me for a small fee. Took it to the shop and all they charged me for was labor and taxes. So for about 150 bucks I got my car fixed. So far so good been 100 miles no problems.
I hope this helps other people cause it seems like a common problem on Buicks over 100,000 miles.

I assume, you replaced the ICM and coils, because, unless all three coils were bad, you would have been able to start the engine with one, or two bad coils. The ICM (Ignition Control Module) would cause the symptoms you described.

yes you are correct, both the ICM and coils were replaced, thanks for pointing that out
