Re: finnaly got the car!!!

Wrong subforum. Unless you are selling or looking to buy something, you don't post here.

You may want to PM a mod to move the thread to Performance/Problem Diagnosis, I think either would work in this situation.

As to your question, the answer is it depends. Valves are relatively inexpensive from what I have seen, the expensive part is installation. If you can do it yourself (I'm guessing probably not) then it will only cost you parts, otherwise to have someone do it for you is where it will hurt your wallet and will vary depending on who you have do it. Call around to some shops in your area and get a few quotes.

Re: finnaly got the car!!!

I believe stock valves are 12 dollars a valve? Don't quote me on that but its somewhere around that price... Also I'm gonna move this to the Problem Diagnostics section...

So much for me taking a vacation from the moderating for a week.

IIRC, valves are ~$16.....or the 420a ones are anyways.

Re: finnaly got the car!!!

You can get the Stock valves from Road Race for $8 each. It is fairly easy to do for the most part, but if you are uncomfortable doing it yourself you would probably want to take it somewhere to do it. As far as how much labor is you would just have to ask the shop. Depending on how bad you bent the valves you might need new Valve guides and you for sure need new valve seals. Road Race sells all of that stuff here is the link.
