Camaro killed... Kiss. my. Ass.!
Just because every little girl wants a red conv mustang, doesnt mean they are badass. Your Gt's are fucking slow. I mean come on, 265 out of a 4.6 V8. I could get 265 out of my inline 4. And the Cobra, dont get me started on the cobra, yeah its a cool car but... I would wrather have a WS6 anyday. The camaros and birds may be more expensive, but you get what you pay for.
GM has to come back with something, cause if they dont, all the newer cars will turn out like the new Impala, and Monte Carlo. P.S. A rant about the Monte Carlo Why did they make it front wheel drive, a v6, and only have 200 HP in its SS trim. Thats just pussy. Those cars are getting in Honda territoy.

The 99 and up GT are under rated, they are every bit as fast as a 93-97 LT1 F-body (high 13's to low 14's), but are no match for the 98-02 LS1 F-body. The 96-98 Cobra are mid 14 sec. turds. The 99 Cobra, well lets not speak of that disaster. The 00-02 Cobras are good for mid to high 13's, and the 03 Cobras are 12 sec. cars stock.
I'm not a huge Mustang fan, but give respect where it's due, the new Stangs are getting pretty quick. And I totally agree about the Monte Carlo SS, its a joke not deserving of the SS name plate. The Camaro will be back with RWD and a V8. |

I do give mustangs respect, but they could get so much more out of their 4.6, which is a small ass V8 to begin with. The new supercharged Cobras will be cool. However Corvette needs to up their HP very badly. Or stock non Z06's will be gettin beat by Mustangs... In my opinion the Z06 should have had like 20 more horses when it first debuted, but I dont call the shots at Chevy...

I still believe that the reason the f-bodies died was because they are long wheel base, and the Mustangs are short. Women are much more likely to buy a car that's easier to drive around the grocery store parking lot... my $0.02

I am a Chevy Man, (I have owned two Z71s, a tahoe, and a S-10) but I just bought a 2002 GT. Yes it has less hp, but I can fit in it (I can't fit in my friends 01' Z28), it looks better IMHO, it handles better, its just a better all around car. A Camero is just a drag car and thats not worth the extra $$ to get one. Yes a new SS will burn me on the drag strip, but add a few curves and it will be closer. I don't see many girls driven V8s around here either. So you gonna get a new 2004 Camero next year? :finger: |

Power does not easily come cheap, and if you want 265 hp in a $20K car, you gotta make sacrifices. And anyways, WHO THE F*CK CARES about hp/liter ratios. All that matters is hp/lb anyway.

Well speaking cubic inches to hp ratio the 4.6L (260+) is just as powerful as a 5.7L (320+), both stock of course.

Ya know my V6 in my S-10 is about 20 cubic inches smaller than a V8 Mustang. Big block V6 lol.

I don't know how you can fit not fit in a Camaro, but you can in a Mustang. It's the exact opposite for me, can't even get my damn legs into any Mustang (tried them all, V6's, GT's, Cobras new and old, Saleens, Roushs- don't fit). If you fit into a Mustang, you can definately fit in a Camaro, remember that longer wheelbase???

Because I'm 6'5", and I have no problem getting in and out of my SS...perhaps you didn't give it the chance that it deserved.

I agree, coming out with front wheel drive cars i think is a little stupid. Sure they are ok on snow but when you get one in a slide its done for and if you get the fronts spinning you have no control of how to steer out. I myself would rather have a rear wheel drive car that way if you get in a problem you can chase your car instead of doing what ever your car will do if its front wheel drive...its unpredictable.
