230 Straight 6

I have a '70 Nova. It is missing some parts from the carb. Rebuild doesn't have the parts I need. I am trying to find a new cab but I don't know what cars have the same engine/Carb. If anyone knows where I can find that out or if you are willing to share that info with me PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know!

It's likely a Rochester M or MV. Does it look like this?

Re: 230 Straight 6

Well its the right Crab, only problem is the piece that I am missing isn't listed on there... On the pic its on the back side. Its a port, and something needs to go in it. When I plug the port gas shoots out of the hole just South East of Screw number five. If you know what it is let me know, cause I don't have a clue... It runs fine with the port unpluged, but its not real great for gas milage when its just pouring out of the engine...

Re: 230 Straight 6

I swear by my local carb shop. They either have just about anything that I need in parts or as an exchange unit. In my opinion, just to make your life easier, see if you can get a rebuilt one or a new one. Carbs usually have a tag on them somewhere with all the numbers to identify it.
