rattling/squeaking noise

I have a Rattling/Squeaking noise coming from (near or around) my front passenger wheel area.

When i go over bumps especially it kicks up and alot. its starting to do it a bit on decently paved roads. It started rattling (i liken it to a metal spoon in a thick plastic cup but dont take that as good information) then eventually worked into squeaking.

I plan on taking it in to a shop soon, but knowing little of cars, if i knew what it Might be before hand it may help me when i take it in to know if they are truthful or just throwing stuff out at me.

2003 cavalier, no other known issues before hand,

struts, starter, ac fan blade replaced and covered by warranty long ago

There is a squeaky crunchy noise under the car drives me nuts .When under warranty .They would always say either struts or bushing for the struts .Now its back but my warranty is over .One more thing when its cold out no noise .The warmer the weather the louder the noise .

That is exactly the same thing i have.

Well, atleast now i have an Idea of what it is.

i had that problem on my 03 and believe it or not all it was was the plastic hubcap

Stop the car and push or pull up and down the front of the car, if it makes that noise then what I did was pour transmission fluid on top of where the strut bolt comes thru under the hood. Make sure it goes thru the holes. Do not use WD-40, it does not last. Been 2 years now and still no noise.
