A/T cooler-safe to drive without?

I got a new rediator foy my 96 Civic LX and it doesnt have any fittings for the A/T cooling lines. Can I drive it without them hooked up or do I need to get an aftermarket cooler? What size should I get?

I sure as hell wouldn't drive w/o it.

After about 5 minutes the oil in the tranny gets really hot

so is it safe? = NO

I wouldn't suggest driving, the trans needs to be cooled for a reason. As for the size, I would probably look for one about the same size as your current A/T cooler.
