Also, when at a complete stop ill go to take off with average accel. and it doesnt seem like it is in gear all the way then a second later i can feel it engage, any ideas on this please help...i dont want to be screwed at a dealer...i was thinking power steering pump on the way out or something or possible tranny fluid needs to be changed?

Re: 2000 bravada thump
I would look at the transfer case - change the fluid and make sure its the newer blue GM syn fluid (dealer only). The full time and autotrac cases have clutch packs and they start to bind. GM bulletin on this and says change the 2 qts of blue, run 100 miles, change 2 qts again and hope all is well. This assumes the CVs are not ripped and binding.
