gear ratios

evrybody here is talking about boosting there cavy with bolt-ons and everything.i want to know how you can change/adjust your gear ratio.i've got injen intake with headers and exhaust.planning to upgrade pistons and clutch.but i know that gear ratio also affects the performance.close gear ratio will do you good on circuit but more than a quarter mile strip needs a wide gear ratio.my cavy is running out of gear with a goddamn civic(if you know what i mean)so...how do i change them.thanks!!!

Re: gear ratios

hey dude it depends if hes out running you top end or bottom end.
if you really wont something to put some dust on a civic put a short throw shifter it helps big time. reply back and ill talk more about your gearing.

Re: gear ratios

does short throw shifter really helps?how? i just changed my previous headers with a new one(pacesetter) and helped a lot, but am not quite satisfied yet with the gain.no planning to bolt a turbo in it, but thinking changing the cams or resize the pistons since my cavy run already 190K kilometers already and just waiting to die down.what do you think?
