Re: depressing songs..i need them NOW!!!!

Depends on depressing. Go for most country songs. Like sad love songs or...idk. When I think of depressing sad love songs come first. Used to have a sad song play list. LIke 100 songs...ot rid of it.

Off the top of my head:
Rascal Flatts - What Hurts the Most
Jimmy Eat World - Cautioners/Hear you Me
Kelly Clarkson - Trouble With Love Is

Oldies:
Dr. Hook - Sylvia's Mother
Elvis Presley - Enough said...
Patrick Swayze - She's Like the Wind
Ray Charles - When A Man Loves A Woman/Georgia (sounds beautiful)/You Are So Beautiful to Me (not depressing, but has that feeling)
Richie Valens - Oh Donna (I think a lot has to do with that movie and the context when this song was played)
Simon & Garfunkle - Bridge over Troubled Water/Sound of Silence
Chicago - Hard to Say I'm Sorry/Glory of Love/If You Leave Me Now/Will You Still Love Me/You're the Inspiration
Don Henley - Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough
Eric Clapton - (Ultimate) Tears in Heaven/Lady in Red/Wonderful Tonight
Righteous Brothers - Unchained Melody (Ghost Theme)
Berlin - Take My Breath Away (Top Gun Theme)

More off my head:
Foo Fighters - February Stars/Aurora
Whitney Houston - One Moment In Time/I Will Alway Love You
The Eagles - Desperado:The Best of My Love/Hole In the World Tonight/Take it to the Limit/The Sad Cafe/I Can't Tell You Way/Love Will Keep Us Alive

Rock: (not neccesarily hard but some maybe a bit)
Breaking Benjamin - Forget It
Default - Taking My Life Away
Evanesance - My Immortal (piano version)
Finger Eleven - One Thing
Green Day - When September Ends/Time of Your Life
Hoobastank - The Reason
Incubus - I Miss You
Lenny Kravitz - Again
Nickleback - Savin' Me/Far Away
Saliva - Rest in Pieces
Staind - Right Here/It's Been Awhile (language)
Stonesour - Through The Glass/Bother
Trapt - Echo/These Walls/Stories

90's & Today:
3 Doors Down - Be Like That/Here Without You
Aqualung - Most songs
Augustana - Boston
Avril Lavigne - I'm With You/Keep Holding On (just heard it in a VT tribute vid)
Black Crowes - She Talks To Angels
Bob Carlisle - Butterfly Kisses
Boyz II Men - anything but all love songs
Coldplay - anything practically Yellow is the first though that comes to mind
Counting Crows - A Long December/Time and Time Again/Round Here/I'm Ready For Love literally any song minus yellow taxi and accidently in love.
David Gray - Babylon/This Year's Love
The Fray - How to Save A Life
Howie Day - Collide
Modest Mouse - Blame it on the Tetons/World At Large
No Doubt - Don't Speak
Oasis - Wonderwall/ChampagneSupernova
Peter Gabriel - In Your Eyes (acoustic is best)
Phil Collins - In The Air Tonight/You'll Be in my Heart/Take a Look at me Now
Richard Marx - Right Here Waiting/More Than Words Can Say/Take These Broken Wings
Rob Thomas - Ever The Same
Rod Stewart - Forever Young
Ryan Adams - When The Stars go Blue (orignal)
Sarah Mclachan - Adia/Fallen/I Will Remember You
Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars
Sting or The Police - You choose
t.A.T.u - 30 Minutes/Stars
U2 - With or Without You
The Veronicas - Mouth Shut/How Long
Vertical Horizon - Best I Ever Had
The Wallflowers - One Headlight (or most)

And I'm done for the night...Like i said, some are sappy love songs but still kinda depressing when you listen to them. i guess more depressing if you're thinking about someone, Idk. Some are just generally sad. Eric Clapton - Tears in Heaven is a must.

Re: depressing songs..i need them NOW!!!!

led-babe, i'm gonna leave you
led-d'yer m'aker
evanescence(sp?)-hello
bush-letting the cables sleep
chevelle-point #1
APC-peace love and understanding
'stones-paint it, black
the zombies-she's not there
the who-behind blue eyes
slipknot-vermilion, pt. 2
stone sour-bother
APC-blue(bird shake mix)

not in any order. some are better than others. i don't know what depresses you, so i came up with some generic ones. i can give you way more of them if you need.

-letting the cables sleep

that's all without repeating anything previously mentioned.

Oh dang..I didn't hit up my hip-hop/R&B/rap music...oh well.

Yeah, some Chevelle and the like songs i think are but they're a little heavy. Not emo, just have a lot of music and I know all of it. Got music always going.

Re: depressing songs..i need them NOW!!!!

A sadder counrty song is "Whiskey Lullaby" by Brad Paisely and Alison Krauss.
Otherwise maybe "Where'd you go" by Fort Minor.

Oh, and I definately think "Tears in Heaven" would be a top choice. Especially with the story that goes with it.

Re: depressing songs..i need them NOW!!!!

First song that came to my mind when I read the thread title was , "Seasons In The Sun" by Terry Jacks from the early '70s.
