Re: help for changing engine

Get a Haynes manual at one of the larger chain automotive parts places.

I don't think you will fiind anything with better pictures and description than the Haynes manual.
If the Haynes manual doesn't have enough information for you, you might want to reconsider doing the job yourself. The manual is pretty thorough for an engine change.

Re: help for changing engine

For my 92 Escort I got a Ford Service Manual on ebay for about $40. It had plenty of detail in its 400 plus pages - but still didnt tell you which steps would take 2 minutes, and which would take 2 hours and leave you with bleeding knuckles. The Haynes/Chilton manuals are okay; for someone who has taken an engine out before - but they cant cover the subject as thoroughly as the Ford manual specific to your make, model, and year. I used that Service manual to rebuild the transmission also. Very thorough.
I start with a digital camera, and I take plenty of pictures, so I will know where to replace things. I write down each item I remove, step by step, and put the nuts/bolts into tin cans or sliced off milk cartons; and I number them with a marker. As I work I also write down the items I know I will need to buy - and it usually includes all new heater hoses, water pump, timing belt and idler, and any really hard to reach parts.
Since I am retired and this is a hobby, I have the luxury of quitting when I run into a snag. I own an oxy-acetylene torch, which gives me options for undoing rusted bolts. If I run into a bolt that I cant reach with my existing tools, I go and buy whatever new tool I need.
Good Luck
