question about a rover

recently i noticed a 90 rover at a local used car dealer,the guy said he'd sell it for $1250 or best offer,it has almost 170,000 on it,but the body seems in good shape,anyways,it'll turn over,but not start,put fresh gas in it,didn't do anything,i was wondering if there were any common problems on rovers that stop them from starting,but more to the point is it worth like a grand as it sits?

ask if you can take it to a mechanic or if you can look at it to see what is wrong. if you can or have a friend that can look at it. do the normal and see if it has spark, gas, and then go from there. mine has almost 170k and runs like a top.
