87 IROC gauge problem
I have an 87 IROC with a couple gauges starting to act up on me. When I start the car the needles on my temp and fuel gauges fly up and get stuck at the top position. I can use a bent paper clip to free the temp gauge and it reads fine until I have to restart the car. Is this a sign of a bad instrument cluster or just coming from the sensor? The temp gauge started doing this about a year before the fuel gauge. Hoping not to have to replace the cluster since it'd mess up my odometer reading but need to figure out the fix either way. Thanks.

Re: 87 IROC gauge problem
I permamanently mounted and painted a clip as a stop so the needles wouldn't get stuck between the pod and bezel.

Re: 87 IROC gauge problem
I had a problem with the speedo in a 90 iroc and had to replace the cluster but mine was not working at all.

Re: 87 IROC gauge problem
Completely different set up JEr, the earlier dashes were very problematic.
