Track Times

well i think the next mod is gonna be a driver mod, cause i cant launch this car for shit. Im really happy with the trap, not very happy with the ET. Anyways heres the best so far

Reaction .3430
60ft 2.3329
330ft 6.3751
1/8ET 9.5010
1/8MPH 78.80
1000ET 12.1622
1000MPH 92.32
1/4ET 14.3718
1/4MPH 102.57

So the car has the power, i just cant handle it. Im also running rich right now, my tune is the GM stage 2 tune, which is a 3.069 inch pulley, my pulley is 3.1 inch. I threw a code at the track after a few back to back runs, im assuming it was a rich code cause it went away after i let the car idle a bit. I also noticed when i removed the oil cap i could smell gas pretty strong. So i think its time to drop a few sizes. A 2.9 inch pulley should work well. Give me about 2 more PSI.

Re: Track Times

Good start.
Practice will help. I had all kinds of problems launching mine after mods.

Re: Track Times

high 13's, the trap speed is good for it. I was getting frustrated because there was a stock SRT4 there, i raced him a few times, he always won, but i would kill him at the tree. Just he was running high 13's and only trapping 99MPH. His 60s were the same as mine.

Re: Track Times

good trap speed. i guess he was getting you somewhere in between. could be the shifting speed.

Re: Track Times

Get the car dynotuned if you haven't already. You don't wanna have problems with engine failure later on. The mph is easily good for 13's. You just don't have any traction. I'd say that your car is capable of a high 13 sec. pass with DR's and decent track prep. You may even get a mid 13 sec. pass out of it. It's definitely got the power with that sort of trap speed.

Re: Track Times

Your mph is great, it's the 60' that is hurting.
Were you bogging off the line or spinning?

Re: Track Times

yeah your car has a lot more left in it, a guy I know has a stage II redline and he is running 9.2-9.1s through the 1/8th in it(all we have here)... before I put the rockers on(just did this yesterday haven't ran since), I was running 9.0-9.1s but with traps in the 80s(81-82mph), he is trapping a little under me but we used to be a damn good race, I would beat him more often than not but it was always close and if I made the slightest mistake, he would win... we both plan on going to the track again this Thursday, but I hope to have widened the gap with the rockers and springs, my personal best right now is a 9.028 with a 82mph trap(and a 2.02 60')... I wanted 8s with my last setup, i'm expecting them this week...

Re: Track Times

Are you still on the 18" wheels? Getting some 16" wheels for racing might help with the 60' times.
