cavalier z24

Ok i have a guy who wants to race me in a cavalier but he wont tell me if he has the 2003 z24 or not, how do i tell if it is a LS model or a Z24, he is willing to pop the hood.

look for the z24 logo on the side if he shaved the badges the engine will still say what it is 2.4L is z24, 2.2L isnt

2003+ has the 2.2 ecotec engine in them.

Anything 03-05 has the ecotec motor, LS and LS sport and just upgrades for the car. Power windows, locks, sunroofs, XM, and shit like that. Which is why buying a base model cav then would still be as quick.

come to think of it i have never seen a z24 in the 03-05 models, that would explain why.
