Re: Lowering Kit???

When changin your springs its not needed to change the struts but with aftermarket springs on they will wear faster then if u had aftermarket struts. most people recommend just changin the springs with the struts because itll save you time im glad i did it at the same time cuz me and my friend spent 6 and a half hours doing it and it would suck to do it all again.

I got KYB GR2 struts and Eibach lowering springs at the same time... and I didn't even need a camber kit. It was one of the coolest things I've done for my car I ride like I'm driving a REAL sports car now

Re: Lowering Kit???

yea i agree with vipey i think this was def. one of the best mods ive done i just got the KYBs and Intrax springs and the ride is so much smoother and turning is amazing, and my drop was way lower than the eibachs and i didnt use a camber kit, so i dont think its really necessary for the eibach kit.

Re: Lowering Kit???

Very few cars do need the chamber kits .
If you were to do the air ride suspension, then you might need them.

oh ya, air ride as in up & down

Re: Lowering Kit???

I agree! It's defiantely one of the best mods you can do to a Grand Am. Not only visually stimulating but the handling improves head-over-heals in comparision to stock. I put on GR2 struts as well with SpringTech springs. I put on a chamber kit to allow me a little more adjustment but I most likely could have gotten away without needing it. I would HIGHLY recommend spending the money now to change the struts while you have everything apart, it's the smarter choice for sure!

Here is everything before putting it on...

Here's a shot shortly after throwing everything on...

Re: Lowering Kit???

I got the eibach springs due to quality and because I didn't want to bottom out all the time (i definitely scrape concrete more than I used to even with these lol, glad I didn't really go any lower...)

Might want the new KYB AGX struts too... adjustable (twice the money tho), can go anywhere between luxury to drag strip!
