where to find a spoon motor
im looking at getting a spoon motor but i need some direction i just sold my 12 second conquest so now im looking at getting back to 12s or faster so i figured go spoon and make the car wild and unusual (got a bit of cash to blow on the ride so ultimate sleeper for me i guess).... i just talked to my brother in law and he said we can fit the swap in to my 91 hatch he said it will be very tight but we can prob make it work..so any one with info please respond

haha your kidding right? the spoon motor goes for like 7-8000 plus shipping (dont quote me on that) sorry i cant offer any info, just letting you know

www.inlinefour.com has the longblock for sale. But I would recommend building your own motor because the spoon motors really aren't anything special. You could have a motor built much better for the amount you would spend on a spoon motor.

Spoon motors are crap! They're only made to RACE reliably very few times, and never meant to be used as daily drivers...
Even if you're planning on using the car strictly for racing, a standard honda engine would still be more reliable to do so, and at a much less cost... Plus spoon engines are not made to handle any kind of boost. But if you want to blow that kind of money, and B18C5 would fit under your hood quite nicely... or if you'd like to run a turbo, go with the B18C1.

well i just got a nice sum of money from a lawsuite (attempted car jacking in my 12 sec conquest and got assulted lost part of my vision in my left eye and got a big lawsuite so im looking to spend around 5-7 grand on a motor,trans,ecu and axles...so i want some power and what not im looking at trying to hit 12s on all motor then maybe go turbo with a conquest FMIC run 8-12-psi any info would be helpful

Spoon Engines weren't made for drag racing, they are for endurance racing. If you want a fast Hatch and are willing to do your own engine work do a CRVTEC swap, it will give you 200hp (or more) and 200 ft-lbs of Torque, easily 13 or 12 second car.
