How do you add pics to the signature?

Upload the pic (home site or what have you) then in the User CP, select the box that looks like a pair of mountains. . . . enter the URL and voila

where to I put the URL?

I went to the USER CP, clicked on the double Arrow (mountain looking thing) and I don't see anywhere to put the URL.

Just put your pic link between [img]... and... [/img]... simple

With your image ready on your server of choice, when you get to the User CP there's an option for 'Edit Signature' that you will want to select. . .

The Insert Image box is the one highlighted in blue. Click on that and you'll get a box you can enter the URL for your image file in. .

. . . which will result in something like this being placed in the text of the signature . .

If all went well, when you select 'Save Signature' the results will be something similar to my sig below :-D

Edit: it doesn't seem to have worked. . . . odd, maybe my img was too big. . . but that's the gist. . .

Maybe the admins can tell us if there's a pic size limit in sigs or if they're restricted?


Edit: or maybe it just hadn't worked on mine because I was working on the post and the images for the sig panel at the same time lol

grrrr......

I had to go into EDIT OPTIONS to change the editing format to the advance mode so I could get the same box set-up like hardisc, but now it will nto show the pic, just that damn box with an X in the middle, the pic works fine on the site.

What site do you guys use to upload your photos?

Lots of places will block linking because their site gets hit with the traffic bandwidth for the pic but none of the "benefit" of going to the site. Meaning they didn't get to shove their crap ads in your face. It would not surprise me if Myspace is one of those kind of sites.

Use a place like photobucket or some such which came to be just because of this issue.

Might try seeing if your ISP gives you any web space. Mine gives me about 70MB that I can use as web material and when I want to pull an image, I'll stick it on there and then link to it. . . for instance my current sig is from the URL http://myweb.cableone.net/wkeck/yourspeed.jpg (after I'd uploaded the pic)

Yea I tried my myspace and my angelfire site but neither would work. I will try photobucket.

imageshack.us works well too.

And if you ever want to post pics in a regular thread as I stated above all you have to do is put the link of the image between [img] and [/img]... simple
