silverado shift kit question

i own a 2003 silverado 5.3litre with basic mods intake exuast and programmer,what shift kits would you recommend for maximum performance and durablity.Also how hard are they to install.Any info will help thanks.

I prefer the Transgo Kits. (see www.transgo.com). It may require reprogramming (call Transgo to verify) since your 2003 has torque management. Also a good time to install a Corvette Servo at the same time.

If this is the first time removing a valve body, you are looking at 1/2 a day to a full day to install one of these kits. I believe the Shift Kit from Transgo includes a video.

what is a corvette servo and what does it do also how much would a transgo shift kit cost thanks

I got the proffesional shift kit from TransGo for $35 off Ebay, took me a day to install it, I realy took my time. Im very pleased with the result, the reason I installed one is because i got the infamous P1780 code.
