'85 tbird 302-351 swap

I have an '85 tbird w/ 302 engine and want to put a 351 Windsor in and keep the AOD transmission. Can I use the same flexplate and torque converter?????? What motor mounts can I use?

youll need a new flexplate, and if the AOD is computer controlled it wont work. I dont think your year is though. As far as motor mounts, you may have to take mounts from an older mustang and just make them fit to the frame, I welded mounts on my trans am because they wouldnt bolt up right with the engine I had in there. Also you will probally need a new fuel pump especally if your going high performance. Hope this helps.
