Problem: Fan, oil light & hot temp

Just purchased this car, after driving 40ks..oil light comes on, temp is hot and havent heard the fan come on..help please

Year, Model and transmission type would go a long way if you want a response...

I have the same problem with my 98 sc 1 it is 1.9 litre auto trans,already put a new thermastat,the temp gauge stays at 1/4,but as you drive,it boils over out of the coolant fill bottle,the temp light flahes on the dash,have not heard fans go on,contact me at [email protected]
