Re: new to lincolns

Welcome to the forum!

As you're probably aware, the value of the car and longevity is going to depend on the options and condition (value) as well as how well it's been maintained and cared for (longevity). Also, if the car is being sold by a dealer, the expected price will be higher than if being sold by a private party.

Not knowing the history of the car's maintenance (necessary, scheduled, and preventive) it is nearly impossible to give you an idea how long it will last. Even knowing the history certainly won't make it easy to determine longevity.

I would suggest you check Kelly Blue Book (www.kbb.com), Edmunds (www.edmunds.com), National Auto Dealer's Association (www.nada.com) as well as local classified ads for your area. Value can vary by area as well.

Consider searching this forum ("Search this Forum" from Lincoln LS forum main page) for common issues and check for them when searching for your new LS.

Re: new to lincolns

I too just purchased my first Lincoln; a 2004 LS v8 black/black with NAV. I'm pleased to see an outlet for discussion on ownership of the LS.

I've owned my 1992 Ford SHO for almost 8 years, but might have lost interest or burned a hole in my wallet if not for a great forum and resource - -www.shoforum.com. I intent on keeping the SHO, but have always liked the LS from afar, and although my SHO has been my daily driver and remains a very fun car to drive, I've grown to appriciate a more "comfortable" ride, thus the new purchase of the LS.

I look forward to reading more about the LS, and hope others continue to contribute information. I know I will -
