I'm thinking of removing tint on all 5 windows of my hatch...should I or should I not? Is it easy to remove? I only had it on for about 5 mos, i think...

why? if you are gonna remove tints, just remove it off the driver window, and passenger window.... leave the back three...... i think a 4th gen looks good with the back three windows tinted........

Lets say I remove the 2 front ones, is it difficult to do? Any special solution to use? I'm probably better off going back to the shop where they installed em, they may have something that can take em off easier...thanks anyways

trust me, DO NOT remove the tint by yourself...depending on how strong your windows are, I removed mine last may and after 30 mins the window blew out and it cost me $280 to replace argh! I think the window was just weakened and if I took it to a shop they probably woulda covered the damage

my boss took the tint of his door windows in his 97 HX. Hardest part was getting the sticky stuff off. used a razor and something called tint-off that he got at Kragen

I used the soap and water that i cleaned the windows with, spray it on good and thick, let the window sit out in the sun and get good and warm and the tint should peel off no problem...worked for me...

use a heat gut on the outside of the window to warm the tint. do not get it to hot and make things even worse. i do that then 50% of the time it comes off in piece(side glass) or if the clear layer sticks in some spots use something with alcohol in it, most window cleaners containt it & scrape with razor blade after warming with heat gun once again. cover the interior door panel/sill, you dont want the shit you scraped off getting stuck in any crack its a pain in the ass sometime to remove in tight areas. as fas as rear glass w/ rear defrost. goes - take ya ass to the junk yard if your lucky you can locate one w/ rear hatch and all for spares. If that doesn't work call a glass installer.
