Polishing, clear coating etc

I've got Humbrol Clear Cote which I used on a F4-U Corsair model of mine, now I was wondering, is it a good idea (or even necessary) to apply it to the windows of a car im gloss coating? Or should I just stick to the body?

Also, what's the best thing to use to polish the cars?

I wouldnt do the windows.

Best polishing kit to use would be some Tamiya Compound then a wax with Tamiya Wax......you cant go wrong

quick question: is this the order of doing thing----> compound, clearcoat, then wax. OR is it compound, wax then clearcoat?!?!?

I'd clearcoat, compound, then wax. If you are trying to polish/remove imperfections in the base coat/color coat that you will clearcoat over, you can paint over Tamiya compound, but I prefer to use polishing cloths by Micro Mark or Detail Master. They come in 1800-12000 grit and work really well for wet sanding/polishing the paint. When you're finishing/polishing the clearcoat, you can use the 3600 grit then compound, which will leave the surface very slick. Then do all your detail work (window trim, panel lines, decals), and don't use any wax until the model is finished-you can't paint or add decals over wax.
