Advice on new clutch/drive shaft.

I have an '89 325i with 146,000 miles on it. Runs like a dream and looks even better, but I need some advice.

My drive shaft is going bad and I am about to get it fixed. My clutch feels fine still, but I would like to know if it would be cheaper in labor to go ahead and have both of them done at the same time.

In addition, I need to know if the standard drive shaft will be okay with drag racing. If I get the clutch now, I intend to get a Sach's racing clutch. Does anyone have any other recommendations for clutches?

Thank you,
Dave
