parking light problem

this may be a stupid question but the parking light wont work on the right front side of my 03 eclipse.the turn signal works, after it blinks a few times it starts blinking faster though.all the other parking lights are working, ive replaced the bulb and even swapped bulbs with the other parking light just to be sure it isnt a bad bulb. im not sure what it could be or how to fix it. any suggestions? thanks

Re: parking light problem

um...make sure the wires look good and that the whole assembly is in good condition with no cracks or anything. It might just be a bad unit and need replacing.

Re: parking light problem

are you using the stock bulbs? if you use an aftermarket bulb that has a different power value than the stock ones, that may explain the blinking faster since the blink rate is determined by the resistance of the bulb.

make sure the turn signal bulb has two lumens (kind of like those headlights with a high beam lumen 65watt and a 55 watt low beam lumen). if you look inside the bulb, you should see two lumens.
