mirage airbag question
i'm just posting for someone who has a mirage. here's the deal:
the car has dual airbags. the driver's one has been removed due to the installation of an aftermarket steering wheel, and ever since, the SRS indicator on the dash has lit up. is there any way to turn that off, aside from returning the original driver's airbag or disconnecting the bulb for the SRS indicator? thanks in advance.

Re: mirage airbag question
Hello:
The airbag light is "on" because there is a fault in the system. The only way to get the light out is to re-instate the factory system or remove the bulb from the cluster. You should be aware though, that in some states it is illegal to remove the bulb indicating this fault, since other drivers will be unaware of this safety issue should they ever drive your car. You should also know that since the lamp is illuinated, none of the airbags will deploy in an accident making you and your passengers more vulnerable to injury. Make sure you wear your seat belts!! Good Luck
