The strut bar is polished. It's kinda hard to see it in this pict.

NICE!

hey Silverspec...

Here's my honest opinion.
Your calipers turned out awesome! I love your engine bay.... that looks tight! I am not sure about the red grille. It's done well, i am just not sure how much I like it. I couldn't pull up that last picture.

I love your car man! I think if I had it to do all over again, I would have gotten silver.

So what's next on your mod list?

I have gauges on order. I hope to receive them and get them installed in a couple weeks.
I will be putting my car away for the winter, but I will be doing the CAI and exhaust in the spring. I think lowering springs in the summer, and then probably a turbo the next spring. That's my plan anyhow. Of course, if I have the money to do all that, I should just scrap it and get an Infinity G35. Nah.. I love my spec!

Take Care
GB

Thanx GB. I don't feel quite right about the red grills either. Though I have had some compliments because it's original. I think polished or silver might look better and I will try it just to see.

I did read about the gauge post and I too was looking for something brighter; better. Thanx for being the brave one to try it first. If it turns out good, I'm definitely buying one too.

My next mod is to get a cat-back from stromung but I'm not sure if I want the dual tips. I'm trying to mod my girls' 02' civic also, so I'm kinda holding off on mine. I kinda want to wait for other cat-backs. Plus, I can't afford to mod two cars.

i can definitely appreciate someone who tries to do something no one else has. but i really don't like the red grills. just doesn't match at all. black is much cleaner and better looking. i do like the calipers. i must say. i'm looking to do that myself. engine bay is not too bad. i personally didn't like that big plastic thing covering the 2.5 beast thats under the hood so i took that off. but to each his own man. anyway, good luck in your endeaver to be different, no one can fault you for that.

Hey man the only problem i have is with the red grill. It doesnt look bad but i dont know if thats a move i would've made other than that the calipers and the valve cover are real hot man. Now you need to drop it.

02 Blackout Injen CAI, Eibach pro kit, (exhaust coming soon cant decide)

Now I am color blind, but I too agree w/most on those red grills. I think black would be better, on both the grills and the calipers, but the red looks ok on the calipers.

Red accessories on black is fine, but I think that you'd be better off w/black accessories on the silver car.

What color red did you use? I bought some red to paint some of my stuff, but I got a very dark red I guess. (I am colorblind) So any guidance would be great.

Thanks for being honest guys. Since everyone kinda agreed that the red grill gots to go, I will try the silver. I honestly didn't think the red grill matched the car well myself. I do eventually want to drop about 1.5", but I want to get the cat-back first.

If anyone else has an opinion, Please feel free to comment.
Please be honest.

I think a real glossy chrome would look awesome on that grille on your car. I used bumper chrome paint. I sprayed it on.

The idea I just had was that red looks great as an accent on silver, but it has to be small clean places. I think the grills are just to big an area to look good.

What if you were to get a copy of the NISMO logo font, and create a stencil of it, then spray a red stencil of the word NISMO on a silver grill? The problem is that the grill is too see through.. the word wouldn't be very legible. Scratch that... What about a SE-R emblem? The red on the R would look nice. What about the nissan emblem on the 240sx or 300zx... they were a more flat silver emblem... you could even put that on the hood itself? that would be different.. maybe that would look really cool! Maybe I will do that myself.

Just brainstorming... I will keep thinking on it, and let you know if I think of any cool ideas.

Thanx again GB. The chrome paint thing is just what I had in mind but not quite sure what or where to get it. Now I know.

I saw your picts where you put the SE-R badge on your grill, that was sweet. I see some people are doing that since they saw your picts.

I'm gonna try it ASAP, I'll post it again when I get it done.

Maybe the car just looks different when it's actually infront of you and is different in a picture.

Or it could be llighting?? I dunno, I'm guessing.

Again, I do get complements from people that passes by??!!
