Sir Jonas,

I trip to Radio Shack is in order to find a suitable replacement bulb in the 12 volt range. I don't know how big the bulb(s) are in the speedo...but they may be similar to other accessories like the light switches, heater controls, overhead DIS and radio controls in the steering wheel.

If they are the same, 'grain of wheat' lamps in the 12v range will work. You'll need an electronics soldering iron (25 - 40 Watt max) or one of those pencil cold touch soldering pens NOT a soldering gun to re and re the bulb(s) once you find new ones.

If you use a soldering gun (120 to 150 Watt), say good-bye to all the electronics that might also be on the board with the bulbs.

Hope this helps...

Radio Shack was my first guess also. I know many people who were able to find various bulbs for their vehicles there. If you are not near a Radio Shack you could try a specialty electronics store that deals with smaller electronics,or a place that repairs automotive radios. We have such a place near us that does warranty work for most car makers and also repairs aftermarket radios. They carry some specialty bulbs and can order others. Check your Yellow pages to see what's available in your area.

I think this quote taken from the Transport forum might indicate what to look for:

http://www.accu-doc.ch/accuasp/rootc...43/default.htm. I'm quite sure it was 14v bulb, but it is easy to figure out by checking the cirquitboard.

Re: lights burnt out

ok the lights are a 12v 60 ma from radio shack. there ended up being 2 in dash i had to replace and the one in the passenger side window switch i was able to replace as well, by taking it apart and soldering a new light in it. Plus the one in the rear power window switch i had to order so 4 lights replaced and about 2 hours work. mental note if anybody else is going to take their dash apart make note of where you cluster needles are pointing before you take them out.
