need some oil

I have a 64 chevy 283. I have 40lbs oil pressure at the gauge but I'm not getting any oil to the rockers. I take off the valve covers while running and no oil. HELP. I have a MSD distributor and roller rockers with solid lifters.
All new stuff.

Re: need some oil

Yes they are all new. I also put as much oil in the lifters as they would take being the are solids. I have run the engine long enough that the oil should be up there. Could it be the oil pick-up? Or the distributor? It seems the kind of notch around the bottom of the dist. is not as big as a stock dist.
