s13, s14, coupe, hatch, sr20det i need advise
alright here's my problem- i really like the 240sx because its rwd good weight balance ect. so i would like to get one to either modify or swap a sr20det in and modify that. but the sr20det's dont pass emisions. So i was thinking how about putting a turbo on the stock motor or modifying the stock motor more. but i dont know if i want to deal with having to bild up the internals ect. so here are my questions
1. does anyone have a website or info with the quarter mile times for the s13 coupe hatch and the s14? 2. how much is a good turbo kit for the stock motor? 3. how much hp can the ka24de take before i need to strengthin the internals? 4. if i do turbochardge the ka24de would it be just as bad in emmisions as the sr20 is? i guess i just may have to learn how to pay off the inspection guy or maybe i sould just make a 240 drift machine with minor hp mods i dont know any input? |

2) Most kits can give you 240RWHP for their stage I versions...while their stage II usually give you 300RWHP...some good kits I recommend are the Nsport (www.nsport.com) and F-Max kits (www.f-max.com)
3)Cost of a turbo kit is gonna be anywhere from 3200 bux up to 4000 bux for the Stage I's...stage II's tend to be around 5000-6000 bux. 4)I think you are going to have the same smog problems...turbo's are not environment friendly as well as big ass V8's... |
