My dodge manual has most of the torque settings at in. lbs instead of ft. lbs.
Is there a differance and if there is what kind of tool do I use? Thanks

Re: What is the differance from in lbs and ft lbs?
Ft lbs X 12 = IN LBS
you need an IN LBS torque wrench

Re: What is the differance from in lbs and ft lbs?
You could use a regular ft/lbs torque wrench for torqueing.
example: if a bolt needs to be torqued to 36 inch lbs divide 36 by 12 (12 inches in a foot) and you will get 3, set you torq wrench to 3 ft/lbs. in some case this will not get you a real accurate torq setting but believe me it will be close enough. example if you need 68 inch/lbs then you will need to set you ft/lbs torq wrench to 5.6 (which most torq wrenches don't have such a setting even finding a torq wrench with 1/2 marks is hard to find) but in this case I would set it to 6 ft/lbs. and it would be fine.
