Clicking noise at the front end

When I hit a bump or hole (not necessarily big) I have a clicking noise at the front passenger side wheel. I had it in the shop a week ago and they said they fixed it but obviously not. So I want to know what it is, how to fix it, and if it's something simple enough that I can fix. That is instead of bringing it to the shop again.
