Shifter Boot
I own a 2001 5 speed and i have been looking to change out the shifter boot but every time i try i come up with the same problem, the weird oval shape of hole in the center console which i have not been able to stretch any boot over. If i do happen to make it all around i was wondering how i would get it to stay. So this leads to my question... Is there a boot adapter that i could purchase to fit the awkward oval shape? The stock boot had a little plastic clip keeping the shape (not very well) and it was held up by the Reversegear lock (the plastic thing that you have to lift up to get it into reverse). I have checked every resource i could think of and still that piece eludes me... any suggestions you have i would highly appreciate.

Re: Shifter Boot
A few of the j-body stores sell the boots to fit our car exclusively, those universal ones are junk.
